About The Lee
The Lee was formed to create a sensuous, groove-based ensemble that offers beautiful music. Mixing ethnic instrumentation, dual saxophones, and electonica with a cutting-edge production style, The Lee has created a distinct ethno-jazz sound that is both sophisticated and danceable.
The composer for The Lee, Martin Case, wanted to create an ensemble that would honor the rhythms of the past while keeping it relevant to today: to create a ‘held’ sonic space for meditation, dancing, and sensuous enjoyment. The Lee offers acoustic experiences with cutting edge production value
The Lee is comprised of professional musicians residing in the Boston Area. Martin Case, Sagit Zilberman, Ben Zecker, Atticus Cole, and Karl Grohmann are work as composers, arrangers, and performers; Martin and Ben have their own studios where they compose and produce a variety of work for different clients. Martin Case and The Lee can also be expanded to accommodate a larger artistic vision.
